Bos F1 Anggap Wajar Sikap Tertutup Keluarga Michael Schumacher

Direktur Motorsport Formula 1 (F1) Ross Brawn sangat memahami keputusan pihak keluarga Michael Schumacher yang enggan blak-blakan soal kondisi kesehatan sang pebalap.

Brawn yang berjasa terhadap kesuksesan karier Michael Schumacher mengaku sudah menjenguk sang pebalap legendaris di kediamannya di Swiss.

Ia pun bisa mengerti dan menilai istri Schumacher, Corinna, beserta keluarganya berhak menjaga privasi dari publik.

"Saya terus berhubungan dengan Corinna, dan saya sepenuhnya setuju dengan keputusan mereka," kata Brawn kepada Press Association.

"Michael selalu menjadi sosok yang penuh privasi, dan hal itu menjadi prinsip dalam karier dan kehidupannya. Keluarganya pun selalu setuju dengan pilihan Schumacher," tutur dia.

Sebagai ahli strategi F1, Brawn memang punya peran besar terhadap Schumacher.

Ia adalah otak di balik kesuksesan Schumacher menjadi juara dunia di tim Benetton (2 kali) dan Ferrari (5 kali).

Tepat di hari ulang tahun Schumacher yang ke-50, pihak keluarga melontarkan pernyataan soal kondisi sang pebalap legendaris.

Menurut mereka, Schumacher sudah berada di tangan orang yang tepat, dan keluarga telah melakukan berbagai upaya.
