Dari jadwal yang dirilis pada Rabu (14/6/2017), tidak ada duel sesama tim besar pada pekan pertama liga.
Tim-tim unggulan seperti Chelsea, Manchester City, dan Manchester United pun mendapatkan lawan tergolong mudah. Chelsea dan Man United mendapatkan jatah laga kandang, sedangkan Man City harus melawat ke markas lawan.

Begitu pula Liverpool dan Tottenham Hotspur yang mengakhiri musim lalu di posisi empat besar.
Tugas paling berat mungkin dimiliki Arsenal pada pekan pertama. Pasukan Arsene Wenger harus menjamu Leicester City, yang merupakan juara edisi 2015-2016.
